One of the themes that’s interested me since starting TLT is how feeding children can be such a hot-button issue between parents. I wrote about that topic early on (“Why Kids + Food = Conversational Hot Potato“) and that entry led to a lot of heated debate among readers (see the linked posts below).
Well, I was recently at lunch with my friend Norri Leder and complaining about how annoying it is when you feel another parent is trying hard to “outdo” you in the healthy feeding department. Norri, a former corporate consultant, now has a successful line of greeting cards called “In Your Dreams, Mommy” which she creates using vintage photos of her family and her own wonderful sense of humor. And as it turns out, Norri had already created several hilarious cards tapping into this very idea of ”feeding as competitive sport.”
I couldn’t resist sharing them here. Enjoy! (And if you like what you see, you can mail order these cards or any of Norri’s work at In Your Dreams, Mommy.)
