Does This Flaming Hot Cheeto Costume Make Me Look Fat?

by Bettina Elias Siegel on October 5, 2010

I just love the folks at Chipotle.

First there was their “No Junk” campaign that raised $100,000 for Chef Ann Cooper’s The Lunch Box.

Now they’re sponsoring a “Horrifying Processed Food Product” Halloween costume contest to raise up to one million dollars for Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.

Here are the details: Dress up as the scariest, most processed food you can imagine and visit any Chipotle on Halloween night between 6 pm to closing time.  The restaurant will reward your efforts by giving you a burrito, bowl, salad or an order of tacos for only $2.  Up to $1,000,000 of the proceeds from the “Boorito” promotion will be donated to Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.

Then take a picture of yourself in your costume at the restaurant (make sure that someone could tell you’re at Chipotle in the photo) and submit it to chipotle.com/boorito. Entries are due by November 8th and the winners will be posted in an online gallery on November 15th.   One grand prize winner will receive $2,500, with five runners up getting $1,000 each. Twenty runner-runner up winners will receive a burrito party for 20 guests.

Check out the full contest rules here. And if you do enter, you have to promise to post a photo on The Lunch Tray, too!
