Shouldn’t be hard to get millions, if anyone has even a bit of self preservation.
Also, people should be paying close attention to Monsanto with Genetically modified crops and the Bovine Hormone (BGH) that is in your milk. Tyson Farms, with current board member and friend of humanity, JoAnn Smith, for the penicillin laden chicken that graces our food chain.
Once you start thinking of it, damn near any corporation that is supplying food should be looked at. Paranoia, maybe, but look what is allowed to go on without anyones knowledge.
Bettina, it is so amazing how this petition has taken off! Congrats to you! Restores my faith in this country a bit that at least people can get behind not wanting pink slime in their food…hopefully this will also open the door for educating people on the other scary additives that are all over the place without our knowledge 🙂

DON’T feed that carp to our children. I have 4 kids , 5 grandchildren & i don’t want them eating something i wouldnt eat myself let alone thousands & milions of other people. Feed it to the people who invented it and their family. NOT OUR CHILDREN WHO CAN’T SAY NO FOR THEMSELVES.

Please add my name to the petition as I have 5 children in school and there is no way that I want my children eating this stuff ….
WHERE CAN I SIGN!? I don’t have kids yet, but my nephew is in elementary school and we send him with his lunch everyday. When I have kids, I cannot allow them to eat school lunch, but in the event that we may not have a choice once day, I want to feel secure that they are eating a HEALTHY, NUTRITIOUS MEAL! Not some pink garbage that was meant to be DOG FOOD! HOW IS THIS LEGAL!?
Here is a scenario. What if you have beef trimmings and residuals from a cattle which has been organically fed and certified and you treat this cattle’s “organic” trimmings within a Organically certified facility ( which obviously uses ammonium hydroxide), and since ammonium hydroxide is a by product and not an actual ingredient( according to our friends in USDA), it is very well possible that the meat labelled “USDA certified Organic” might also have the pink slime ( or organic pink slime, if I am say). Do you think the meat industry would not exploit this loophole even for Organic meat?
I agree with Keith at the top of this post that “Pink Slime” is only the beginning. It’s great that the public has begun to take notice of what is being fed to our children, but I think it’s time that we reassess the additives used in out food supply. I am extremely sensitive to both MSG and Aspartame, and have had to make extreme modifications to my diet to avoid these dangerous chemicals…if I, as an extremely healthy adult, am suffering from the additives in our food supply, I shudder to think what these chemicals are doing to a developing child.
