I’m so excited to be speaking later this week at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim. In case you’re not familiar with the event, it’s a huge natural foods industry trade show that’s held twice a year, once on the East Coast and once on the West. And when I say “huge,” I’m not kidding: I’m told that last year over 67,000 people attended Expo West!
I’m going to be interviewed on stage by Politico food and agriculture reporter Helena Bottemiller Evich about some of my favorite subjects, including social media and food advocacy as well as that flawed 2014 Cornell study which tried to discredit moms who engage in online food activism.
Other speakers at the event include Mark Bittman, Michele Simon, Anna Lappé, Robyn O’Brien, Tom Philpott, Civil Eats founder Naomi Starkman and many more. If any TLTers are going to be at Expo, I’d love to meet you in person. Just look for me after my talk, which is on Thursday, March 5th at 3:00pm PST. (More details here.)
In connection with my upcoming appearance, I was also recently interviewed by Expo’s organizers; you can read that interview here.
Because I’ll be traveling, I probably won’t be posting on TLT but I’ll definitely share photos and updates from the event on Twitter and Facebook. Have a great rest of the week!

Me, too, Casey! These talks may be recorded – not sure – in which case I’ll share the link with everyone. Assuming I don’t mess up. If I do, the link will never see the light of day. 🙂
