Writing The Lunch Tray has been an amazing experience, with benefits I would never have anticipated when I first started. I couldn’t have imagined all the interesting people I’d soon “meet” from all over the country –and the world, the diverse topics we’d be discussing or the gratifying reaction the blog has received.
But . . . as a freelance writer, there are days when I do contemplate the fact that in less than three months I’ve already sent something like 50,000 words into the world, with no sign of stopping! The blog is a pleasure to write, but it’s also a serious commitment that takes time from paying work. So, after a lot of thought, I finally decided to place advertisements on the site.
I know how annoying internet ads can be, so I’ve made every effort to keep mine as unobtrusive as possible. I hope they don’t interfere with your enjoyment of The Lunch Tray — and that they offer products and services which are actually of interest to you. I don’t control which ads appear, however; they’re supplied by Google based on The Lunch Tray’s content. So if you happen to see an ad for an Uncrustable sandwich (or worse yet, The Candwich), let me know ASAP and I’ll see what I can do.
Supporting these advertisers supports The Lunch Tray, so I welcome any feedback – positive or negative — that you have about them. Thanks in advance for your understanding!

YAY!!!
You know I personally support this decision! My day is not complete without checking in with TLT. You bring valuable news and opinions to us and you DESERVE making some moola! I’m happy to report that TLT has prompted many interesting conversations between my friends and I and it has changed my viewpoint on many things…just a few: cupcakes in school (not doing it any more), allergies in kids (got off my dumb-literally uneducated-platform about it) and picky eaters (got off my self righteous high horse, just cause I don’t have one, doesn’t mean they don’t exist)….thanks for all you bring us; your faithful followers.
And I’m pretty sure if a Canwich or Uncrustable ad comes up, we all know it was not your doing 🙂
However, if there’s an inordinate number of Stacy Pita Chip ads, we will have to investigate kick backs.
Best, Jamie

Jamie: What a lovely comment — you really made my day! And yes, when it becomes “The Lunch Tray . . . Brought to You by Stacy’s,” you’ll know it’s time to stage a pita chip intervention. – Bettina 🙂

That is TOO funny. Don’t you think those people owe me a free case for all the promotion I’ve done on TLT? (Are you listening, Stacy?)

I hope most people will not mind the ads. I say it’s a fair trade off for all the excellent info you share!
