Thanks to my British colleague Joanne Roach of the Foodies, I’ve learned that the photo ban on Martha Payne’s school food blog, Never Seconds, has just been reversed.
Details here.
A victory for school food bloggers everywhere! :-)

It would appear that the Argyll and Bute Council decided to emulate BPI, the AMI, and their bought-and-paid-for government officials in how to respond to their “crisis” – and that the decision blew up in their faces.
It would also appear the ban went way beyond prohibiting her from photographing her lunch and posting the photos on her blog – in fact, it sounds like they ordered her to cease all activities (including the fundraising) – “or else”.

A 9-year old blogger is empowering food advocates everywhere to stay true to their investigations and intuitions. Way to go, Martha!
